Catchall Trays - A small family of material-led objects
Description
Catchall Trays is a circular-design exploration of how a small everyday object can begin with available material rather than an imposed form. The result is a family of leather and textile trays for the loose objects that collect near an entryway or desk.
Process
Material research and sourcing informed a sequence of low-, mid-, and high-fidelity prototypes. Each round tested proportion, edge construction, folding behaviour, and the way different objects settle into the tray before the final family was fabricated and photographed.
